Blue Eye Samurai - Character animation test

Animation tests I did for Blue Eye Samurai, which you can catch at Netflix right now. Did these back in 2021 to explore subtle acting, yet making each main character different from each other. I worked primarily as a story artist for this production.

Kipo - Animation and Compositing Exploration Reel

Here's a few stuff I did that I can finally show when I was still at Dreamworks Animation!

A reel I made consisting of a few early pre production animation work I did for Kipo: Age of the Wonderbeasts from 2018. I was working with Rad Sechrist in translating his designs into animation. I experimented with the appropriate animation style and pipeline, as well as help out with Character Design (which I got credit in just the first four episodes). It was a great experience. I would have stayed if my role was a bit different, but due to circumstances involving animation vendors and such - I made the choice to stay in storyboarding at feature at the time...

I'm not sure who painted the BG's I used in the reel, but Angela Sung art directed the show.

Dusk's Flight: Unused/Reused Animation pre-2017

shelved animation for an OLD version of Dusk's Flight. These clips were later reused and repurposed for the final Dusk's Flight short/proof of concept as filler. These were animated using Adobe Flash CS6 at the time.

Rough animation work I did for Cartoon Network’s Clarence. Episode Tales of Mardrynia. The animation was eventually cleaned up at their outsource studio.

Toniko Pantoja - Dam Keeper Poems Rough Animation Reel 2017

I really hope this mini series comes out publicly in the United States.

Animation work I did for Dam Keeper Poems, a Tonko House Production directed by Erick Oh. This was one of my favorite productions ever. We roughly animated a 50 minute film in two months. Dam Keeper Poems was an american/japanese collaborated project that was a Hulu Japan exclusive production. Dam keeper poems ended up winning the Cristal Award. Music is done by Matteo Roberts and Zachary Johnston.

This is not all my animation work on the production, just a few shots that I personally like that I did.
